Baby Bump

I think I still look just fat and not prego yet. Oh well.
We went to the Dr. yesterday and he said it is a boy! Tray is pretty excited to have a brother, because he gets to share a room with him.
I'm nervous for another boy. I have my hands full with Tray so I hope his brother has 1/2 the energy he does. Otherwise I'm going to be in trouble.
Everything was looking great. The baby was measuring small this time, well not small but more like my original due date. But my doctor still kept me due November 4th. I guess I'll see what my target ultrasound says in 4 weeks.
And..... I'm still loosing weight. I love the pregnancy diet. This is what happened with Kinlee too. It would be better if I could keep the weight off though.

On the Hunt

We're on the hunt for a new car that will accommodate our growing family. Here is my list so far of ones we've considered.
We cannot agree on a car except for the one that is completely out of our price range. My first choice and the only thing we agree on is this....

the GMC Acadia. Roomy, stylish, great gas mileage, but I don't know if I can bring myself to commit to that kind of payment.

My second choice is this...

the Honda Pilot. But Travis doesn't want a mid-size SUV because of the pain of using the 3rd row and it feeling crammed. Which I agree with kinda. I haven't been inside a Pilot yet, but we did drive a Pathfinder and it would be a pain to crawl over the 2nd row to buckle in kids in the 3rd row. I'm guessing it'll be the same situation with the Pilot, so this option may be off the table soon.

Other than a mini van that leaves us with the option of a full size SUV.
A full size SUV has many advantages, they can tow things, like trailers that we don't own. (We own nothing that needs to be towed, so this advantage doesn't really play a role in my decision making, although like twice a year we have to haul my dad's trailer to Lava but we still have a truck that we can all fit in, so again not really a factor for me.)
I also won't feel like I'm driving a can of sardines around. It would be nice to have a lot of room between the 3rd row and me. More distance for screaming and fighting to travel.
Disadvantages-
I'm full size driving impaired. It took years for me to master driving a car and being able to park it decent. (Just ask people that rode with me in high school. I wasn't very good at parking a car.) Can you imagine me trying to maneuver a big ol' SUV through the Kent's parking lot? The few times that I am forced to drive the truck I have to park at the very end of the parking lot where there are six empty stalls all together so I can have a slim shot of actually making it straight between the lines. I just don't picture good things happening with me driving something that big.
Gas mileage. I'll admit that I don't drive very far anymore, but still I just am not all gung-ho driving something that I'll have to take a loan out just to fill it with gas every week.

So if we are going for a full size SUV my choice is this

The Nissan Armada. Again price plays a big part in this selection. They are spendy but I love the look of them.

This is Travis's one and only choice. A Tahoe. He has never even considered anything else. I told him I have to drive one and see how well I can handle something like that before I even put it on my list of options. The only thing with this is that I love the new style of the Tahoe but we can't afford one and I'm not totally in love with the older style.
I hope I'm not the only one that is this picky over choosing a car. This is something I'm going to be driving for a long amount of time though and I want to be completely in love with it. Good thing we still have a few months before I have to make a decision but I want to have this thing in my possession by September. So on the hunt we go.

Today is a Great Day

Friday was such a wonderful day! Well this whole week has been great. It was my first week not working and it was wonderful being home with my family.

But Friday took the cake. I started the day by going shopping with one of my best friends. We went to the JJ Cole warehouse sale. It was so fun! I've never had such a high from shopping. We wanted to go back just for the experience!

The only bad thing that happened was that I locked myself out of my house. Oops! Good thing Jayme rescued me and my kids and let us hang out at her house until Travis got off work.

The best thing that happened was Travis's job. He put in for a group leader job and we found out that he got the job! I couldn't be more proud of him. He has done so much to provide for our family and it's so great to see his hard work and dedication pay off!

We ended the night by taking the kids to the movies. We went to How to Train Your Dragon again and this time the kids made it all the way through the movie. Well Kinlee struggled but at least we didn't have to leave half way through. But next time we go to the movies I think Kinlee will have to stay home.

Out of Pocket

I knew that having a baby would max out our insurance deductible and the kids have needed their tonsils out for a while so this was the year...
