Happy late Easter

I only got one picture on Easter and since I haven't put pics up of Kinlee lately I thought I would share how cute she looked that day.

We had a great Easter! Tray understood the concept of finding eggs and it was cute to watch him run around looking for them. Both of the kids got spoiled by Easter Bunny Grandma. She got the kids alot of cute summer clothes!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Today is my dad's 48th birthday! We love him so much! Tray always asks if he can go to papa's house! He loves to ride the tractor with him, help feed the cows, and go on the wheeler. I couldn't have asked for a better dad! We all love him so much!

I made it out alive!

Yes I am still alive! I am having a hard time bouncing back like I did from my c-section though. Who would have thought that having an 8 pound living thing ripped from your guts would be easier to recover from than a tiny organ taken out through a small hole! Good thing Travis got a 3 day weekend for Easter off of work or I would be screwed! Here is a picture of some of the stones they took out. I wasn't quite coherent when the Dr. came in to talk to me but from what Travis said, I had a lot more stones that were sent in to get tested. I'm glad I chose to go ahead with the procedure.

Going Under

My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 7 AM. I haven't had any pain since last Sunday but decided to go ahead with the surgery anyways so that I don't have the risk of pain in the future since I do have more gallstones. My mom is taking Tray for a few days so I just have Kinlee to worry about so I should be ok in the kid department. I just hope I'm not in too much pain and can get back on my feet quick. Thanks to those who posted helpful comments for me.

Gally Gee!

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate hospitals! I'm sure there aren't a lot of people that like them, but I really hate hospitals, especially the smell!
Well sometime soon I get to have a stay in one! Yes, my gallbladder is going to be removed! I had a horrible episode Sunday night that ended in the ER. Not a fun night. I have a consult with the surgeon tomorrow and I will know then when my surgery will be. I'm super nervous for many reasons but I know it will all be ok. I will keep you posted on what I find out!

World Record!

I looked at how much I blogged today and wondered if that is a record or something. Well I hate odd numbers so I had to do one more post so that it was even. I thought I would share the pictures of the nursery since I hung my last decoration the other day. Before

I think it turned out cute! I would like to add some circles on the walls with vinyl but that won't be anytime soon. I need to move Tray out before I put something he can peel off on the walls.

My busy body Tray!

Some updates on Tray!

He's had grown to be quite a handful lately! He has tantrums, he does naughty things, he has selective hearing, he's experiencing growth spurts, he's just Tray!

- Growth spurts
I didn't take Tray to his 2 year checkup because he didn't need shots and I didn't feel like paying a co-pay to have the Dr. weigh him. So I stuck him on the scale the other day and he weighs 36 pounds. He wears a size 4T and 6 in diapers! If he gets any bigger without being potty trained I'm going to have to buy him depends!

Tray is so naughty sometimes! Everyday he does something that just pushes my buttons. Like today, I gave him an orange slice while I went to nurse Kinlee. He went downstairs to eat it. I went down 10 minutes later and it was smashed all over the entertainment center and chewed up and spit on the floor.

Never fail, everyday Tray dumps out all his toys right when he gets in the basement. I finally bought multiple storage boxes to organize them and now he just dumps out two boxes everyday. Today I also found him sitting in the garbage can watching Spongebob.

Tray loves watching tv. I know I'm not going to win mother of the year exposing who really babysits my child, but in order for me to even go to the bathroom I have to keep him preoccupied and tv is the only thing that keeps his attention for longer than 30 seconds. His FAVORITE show is Spongebob. No lie, when it starts he will search the house for me to tell me that it's on. He loves movies and they change every week favorite wise. I made a goal this week to cut back on his tv time. I even bought some craft projects to do. I just hope it gets warm soon so we can go outside!

Tray's new bath! For a while Tray was afraid of the shower. I don't think he liked the water hitting him, he probably felt trapped. Well the last few times I've thrown him in the shower with either myself or Trav he has loved it and wants to stay in by himself. I'm all for this method of bathing because he doesn't drink the dirty bath water, he doesn't fill his toys up and dump them on the floor, and he gets his hair washed. Yea for showers!

The leash- Yes I have purchased a leash for my child. Call me crazy or whatever but let me tell you of my first and only shopping experience with 2 kids and just me. I went grocery shopping. I had to carry in the carseat and try to wrangle Tray through the parking lot by the hood of his coat. He only fell in the sludge once. He WILL NOT hold anyone's hand while walking. He will not get in the cart and has to be seatbelted in or he will climb out. So in the front of the cart he went. The carset went in the back. WHERE DO YOU PUT YOUR GROCERIES????? Tray picked up my soda out of the back of the cart by the lid and spilled it all over the floor. I couldn't get half the stuff I needed because there was nowhere to put it. I have to keep most of my food out the range of Tray's reach. Impossible when a carseat occupies the majority of your cart.

The only solution I had was to let Tray walk so I could put the carseat in the front. I am never in the mood to chase my child around the store and he has selective hearing (he selects to not hear his parents) so I figured the only option I had was to put my child on a leash.

It really is a cute leash. It's a monkey backpack and the tail is the leash. He loves it and it works great. We used it when we went to Wal-mart after bed shopping. He even had on a yellow coat and he totally looked like Curious George. I will take a picture of him in it soon so you can see! I know eventually he will figure out that when he wears his monkey pac-pac he is tied to me, but until then, I can shop in peace, kinda.

Like a big hug!

Five years ago, Travis and I decided that we should buy a bed. This was before we were married but we needed one for when we did get married. So off we went to the finest mattress store around, a storage shed in Logan. No lie, we bought our king size mattress set out of a storage shed for $500 or something around there. Well needless to say, it wasn't the best of quality and didn't provide that much comfort. Travis started getting achy backs and I can't tell you what it does for a pregnant woman! We finally decided it was time to purchase a real nice mattress!
Saturday we made the trip down to R-'see you coming'- Willey's to go bed shopping. Now this was my kind of shopping. Laying on beds was awesome. Too bad I was chasing Tray around the store most of the time. But what time I spent laying on beds was great. Of course those salesmen try to get all the money they can from you, luckily Travis is good at not falling for their schemes.

Today after work Travis went and picked up our new mattress. It seriously feels like you are wrapped in a warm friendly hug when you lay on it! It's going to be even harder to get out of bed before nine now!
See you later old mattress. Notice the thickness.
Hello comfort! Notice the new thickness.

Like a warm friendly hug! Notice Travis's pose! He's in love!

Say Click, Take a Pic!

How much stress can one person experience in a week. Well I started the week with stress and ended it that way as well.
I really wanted to get Kinlee's pictures done so I made the appointment and asked my mom to come with me to help with Tray. So Friday off we went to Logan. Kabrie didn't have school so she came with us as well.
We went to Wally's first (Wal-mart) and I found Kinlee a cute Easter dress that she could wear in her pictures and got her some tights and I made the decision to leash my child and bought one of those also. (More on the leash later)
We were in Wal-mart for maybe an hour and Tray did well. No tantrums were seen! My pictures were scheduled for 3 so we headed to the mall to Penny's. When we walked in the waiting room was full! They were behind. We were a little early so we walked around to see if they had anything cute for Kinlee to wear. No luck. I decided to go and feed Kinlee so she was happy for her pictures and my mom and Kabrie took Tray for a ride in his stroller. I don't know what time I actually got in to do my pictures but it was late. Kinlee did great but when it came time to do Tray's pictures he was not having it! The poor photographer was new and I felt bad she had to work so hard to get Tray to cooperate. As for me, I was sweating bullets because he was being so naughty! I finally said forget it and send him out. I wanted to get some more pics of Kin and had bought her a cute tutu and ballet shoes. She was done though and just cried the whole time. That's why I dressed her up at home and took some myself.
So now you have to wait 20 minutes to even see your pictures. Well mine took 45 minutes I swear. Well it probably just felt that long because Tray was having a meltdown in the middle of the mall! I just cannot handle him sometimes. My mom ran to a store with Kabrie and Tray was playing on the food toys, Kinlee was sleeping in my arms, and I was sitting on the bench. Well a lady came to talk to me and when she left, Tray was gone. He was in the arcade sitting in the moving car. He wouldn't get out to save his life. So I had to drag him by his armpit from the arcade to the photo studio with him screaming! I'm surprised that the authorities weren't called on me. I finally got him calmed down, and 2 minutes later he was throwing another tantrum. I had enough! I picked him up and took him outside and had a stern conversation with him. It worked and he was a good boy until we left. Needless to say, we were at JC Penny's for 3 hours! But I did get some good pictures, too bad the ones with Tray and Kinlee didn't turn out though. But I am not trying that again. Next time we do pictures it will just be Kinlee getting them done and Tray will be staying home. Except we do need an updated family photo. Grr.......

Can you say stress?!?!?!

So Monday, February 25, I was woken up with a phone call from Nucor. I thought is was going to be my dad. Instead, it was the secretary there asking for Travis. He was still in the job pool for the Plymouth plant and she was calling to say that they needed permission from NBS (Nucor Building Systems) to let Travis be considered for a position at their plant. So I texted Travis to tell him to call Sandy. From that moment on we were taken on a roller coaster of emotions until Tuesday night.
At first NBS told Trav that he couldn't transfer for a year. That made us a little upset since he was put in the hiring pool before he was offered a job there, and they never said anything about giving a year commitment to them when they hired Travis. I cried at this news.
Later, Travis texted me and said they changed their minds. He had a meeting with his bosses and for some reason they never made the group that was hired with Travis sign the commitment so it was sort of a special situation and they said that he could transfer.
Travis called Sandy to tell her he could transfer. Five minutes later he got a call offering him a position at the mill. This was a total shock to us! We were expecting them to do more interviews (Travis has had 5 interviews out there) and that we would have a few days to make a choice if he was offered anything.
Travis asked if he could call back in the morning with his decision. What a night filled with prayers, scripture study, and of course streaming tears from me! It was so hard... our minds were telling us one thing and our hearts were saying another! It wasn't until 6 the next morning that we reached our final decision and I was still crying for most of the day.
Travis made the choice to stay at NBS. Both places had good and bad things about them, and I left the choice up to Travis. He followed his heart and made the choice that I know will benefit our family. I love that my husband is so in tune with the spirit and that we have that to help us make tough decisions that come up in our lives.

A luau

ALOHA!!!!!!

Saturday, Febraury 23, we made a trip to Pocatello. Kylie plays softball at ISU and they were having a fundraiser luau. I didn't get it until on the way home why it was a luau. Her team is in Hawaii right now playing ball. DUH!!! I'm an idiot. Anyways, we had fun watching the girls do some hula dances. They even roasted a pig and had the whole carcass, including the head, laying on the table! It was a fun night, and especially fun to get out of the house.

We did have an incident with Tray while we were there. He had reached his maximum attention capacity and was running all over the place. My mom and Kabrie were nice enough to take him out into the hall so he could run around out there. Well after 10 minutes or so I looked back and I saw my mom talking with some ladies, and Kabrie was coming back to the table but I didn't see Tray anywhere. I asked Kabrie where Tray was and she said he was with mom. Well he wasn't. So after a frantic search by Travis, Kabrie, and Kelton, Tray was found on the next floor down wandering the halls. We were lucky he didn't end up outside alone!

Other than the lost child incident we had fun, especially watching my mom and dad learn to hula! Kylie's team must have raised enough money because she is in Hawaii right now! I hope she brings us home something cool!

(Kelton was the 3rd person in line for food! That's why he's the only one with a plate on the table, by the time Travis and I got to the food it was almost gone and they were picking meat out of the pigs head! I passed on the pork!)

A Wedding

On February 21, Travis's dad got remarried to a wonderful lady. We are so excited to have Janet become a part of our family. I took my camera to the wedding and I only ended up taking two pictures. Here they are....

We are still alive!

I know I haven't posted in a while. I just don't have a spare minute to even put my thoughts together. I promise I will post about our busy past 2 weeks. Just so I can remember what I need to post about I will give you some teasers of what's coming up.

I was bored and dressed Kinlee up in her tutu and took some pictures. Hopefully these will satisfy your Lund cravings until I post all my updates tonight!

Out of Pocket

I knew that having a baby would max out our insurance deductible and the kids have needed their tonsils out for a while so this was the year...
