Dylan's Blessing

We decided to go the non-traditional route and blessed Dylan at home on a Saturday. We just had immediate family over in the afternoon. I have to say that it was nice to not feel rushed to get to church on time and feel rushed to get home and feed everyone after. Travis did a beautiful job.
You can't tell that Dylan loves me in this picture can you?

My crazy family! Love 'em!

3 sweet kids!

My parents

Travis's parents

Dylan's Great-grandparents (missing my other Grandma)

My whole family

Travis's whole family

Dylan's Aunts and Uncles

Thank you to everyone that came. It was a wonderful day for sure.
Funny story: I had Travis record Dylan's blessing on his phone so I can write it down to keep with Dylan's things, we have each kids' blessing saved. Well after the blessing Travis forgot to stop the recording and now has 3 hours of bowling recorded on his phone. Good thing I only need the first 5 minutes of it.

S#!* My Husband Says

The other night I was laying in bed watching tv and Travis was sleeping. All of the sudden he starts thrashing around like he is being attacked. I wake him up and ask if he's ok. He looks at me and says "what is that smell? It smells like someone shit in a handcuff."
Then he rolls over and is back to snoring.
He has no recollection of any of that happening. I love when he sleep talks!

Baby D - 11 Weeks

Last week was D's well check. I was pretty close to guessing his weight.

Weight - 12 lbs 12 oz 69%
Height - 23.5 inches 65%
Head - 42 cm 87%

I still don't think he's as big as Tray was. I'd try to find Tray's stats but I don't have the energy to dig the box out and find them.

We sure love D but he is a very needy baby and I blame myself for that. He loves to be held at all times and usually only by mom. This makes doing household chores very difficult. But if he's really my last baby I don't want to miss out on any snuggle time. And he is my only baby that loves to snuggle. The other kids loved to be held so they were facing out so they could see what was going on, not D. He loves to be curled right up in my chest.
He still eats every 2 hours and sometimes is even less time between than that. He has been sleeping better at night going to bed around 10 and waking up at 4. If only I could get my other kids to go to sleep before midnight I could join in on all those hours of sleep. Instead I'm still up until 1 waiting for Tray to fall asleep. Hopefully now that school is back in session we can get back to our schedule.

D has been smiling for a few weeks now but it's so hard to capture on camera. These were my attempt today.

Out of Pocket

I knew that having a baby would max out our insurance deductible and the kids have needed their tonsils out for a while so this was the year...
