My motivation for working out (besides winning $200)
We're going here in a few weeks! I gotta get my body ready to be in a swimsuit so I don't get mistaken for a beached whale!
I can't wait to lay out by the pool next to Travis while reading a good book. Maybe I'll even get to swim with the dolphins!

Week 1 - 7 pounds
I'm so excited to be on a healthy journey that I thought I'd blog about each week so I can look back to see how far I've come. These posts will be long and pretty boring so I won't feel bad if no one reads them.
My sister volunteered to be my trainer. I'm kinda her guinea pig. I was scared. She trained to be in a fitness competition last year and I knew the diet she was on was brutal!! I prepared myself for the worst. When she gave me my diet information and I've studied it, it really isn't that hard. It's actually a lot of food to eat in the course of a day. A lot more than I have been eating.
The only thing that I knew would kill me is my addiction to pop! I HATE water! I've been asked to drink at least 3 liters a day. I make it usually within 1/2 a liter and I have NO cravings for soda pop either! The headache I had on day 2 was no fun, but I took a pill and have been fine since.
The biggest surprise to me was reading food labels. My diet consists mostly of "raw" food, similar to a Paleo diet. But foods that I don't or can't get fresh I have to check labels and if it has any form of sugar as a main ingredient I can't have it. I was surprised to see how many things I used to eat that I thought were healthy had sugar in them! Even my light yogurt had sugar listed as the 2nd ingredient.
Tuesday and Wednesday I felt like I was starving! I don't know if it has to do with me still nursing or my body being in shock, but I had to up my protein snack by 1 on both days. I didn't cheat just had a little more protein than I did the rest of the week.
Saturday was my cheat meal for the week. My friend had a baby shower and I knew I wouldn't be able to resists eating with my friends. But I must say, the way I felt after I ate my meal (and I no way even came close to finishing my plate) didn't even make cheating worth it. Well maybe the cupcake and 3 cakeballs I had did :) But I really did feel crappy all day Sunday.
Speaking of Sunday, it was the first day that I really craved sweets. At our house, Sunday is a stuff your face lazy day and the tradition must be en grained in my body because all I could do was think of fun stuff to bake and eat! But we made it with no cheating thanks to a big bowl of sugar-free Jello.
My exercising is probably the hardest to do. Every morning I wake up I try to talk myself out of it, but somehow I always end up working out and I feel great after! I am supposed to do 30-40 minutes of cardio 3 times a week followed by an ab workout and 30-40 minutes of strength training 3 times a week. And I get 1 day off of exercising. I'm trying to switch up my workouts so I don't get too bored but I'm thinking I should stick to the same thing for a few weeks so I can do it easily and then move onto something new. I bought Zumba for the Wii and I love it but I look like a fool doing it! (Good thing I close the blinds) I walk on the treadmill at a full incline for 30 minutes once a week. I've been doing Pilates for 40 minutes and Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I also have a Turbo Jam DVD I haven't done yet.
I pretty much got my trash kicked all week by all of these exercises. I hope by week 10 it will be the other way around.

Sunday Best
Doesn't he look so cute!!! Too bad he sleeps through the entire block of church. No one gets to see this cutie. But I'm not complaining one bit about his nap schedule. It means that I don't have to expose him to my nursery class just yet.
Night Owl
Tray has started a new habit. He will stay awake in his room until I'm way too tired to care and I go to sleep. Then he will sneak into my room, steal the remote, and come downstairs to watch TV. I usually don't find out until I come down to feed Dylan in the middle of the night. Just tonight he came downstairs while I'm still awake and told me to leave the remote down here so he doesn't have to come to my room to get it. What a silly kid!!!

I'm In L-O-V-E Love!
I just need to ramble about how much I love my Dylan.
I love the way his chubby little fingers wrap around mine while I feed him.
I love the way his smile says so much. You just know that he loves you with every ounce of his body.
I love the sound he makes when he munches on his fists.
I love the way he stops crying as soon as I pick him up. Yes I may be babying him but I love that he is comforted by me.
I love his giggle.
I love his babble.
I love his smell.
I love to kiss his head.
I love that we snuggle every morning.
I love how his head fits perfectly in the crease of my bent arm when we nap.
I love the way he looks at me.
I love how he kicks his rolly polly legs when he gets excited.
I love his fingernails. They remind me of my grandpa's.
I love the way he looks for me in a room and the way his eyes light up when he finds me.
I love when he wants to play.
I love his whispy hair.
I jusy love tgis little boy so much. I love all my kids but feel more of an urge to remember all the little things with Dylan in case he truly is my last baby.

Happy Birthday Princess!!!
My baby girl is 3!!!!
My mom still had some presents to give Kinlee that she didn't bring to the big party so I decided to have my family over for dinner. We had yummy chicken tacos/burritos/salads. And no family gathering is complete without a little Wii. We didn't play any dance games because some of the men in our family are party poopers.
I was so sick of cake by the time Kinlee's birthday came around that I decided to make cupcakes that would hopefully not last as long as cake. Kinlee was so excited to have pink and purple frosting and she even helped put the sprinkles on.
She was so proud of her cupcakes. She made everyone come and see them in the fridge when the first walked in the door.
Singing Happy Birthday!
Opening her presents. She got a My Little Pony airplane, Pinkalicious books, (I really love the way she says Pinkalicious, it sounds like pink licorice) clothes, Tangled playset, and lots of other fun things!
We sure love having Kinlee in our family. She is such a drama queen and it makes me laugh most of the time. My favorite thing is when she tells me a big elaborate plan she has and when she's done she says "is that a great idea mom?" She is Tray's little shadow. Anything that Tray is doing or saying she has to do the same thing. It's cute but can be dangerous at times. She's a great helper and loves to be in the kitchen with me cooking and cleaning. She is so smart. She recognizes her numbers up to 12, knows her colors, is starting to recognize letters, and is learning to spell her name. She loves to draw and color, and loves to dress up.
Happy Birthday Miss Kinlee. We love you so much!!!!
